Our staff is growing! We are pleased to welcome our new Program Director, Liza L. Comiskey, to Swanton Recreation. Liza comes to us from Highgate, where she served for 12 years as the Director and Librarian at the Highgate Library and Community Center. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Work, possesses a strong background in community outreach & engagement, positive leadership, as well as organizational and program management. In addition, she brings with her over 20 years of experience working with the children, youth and families of our community. Liza is active within the Highgate Community, serving as a volunteer firefighter and also as the department's fire education and outreach coordinator. She coaches for Girls on the Run, Cross Country and is a certified children's yoga instructor. We are pleased to welcome her to Swanton and can't wait to see all the great things she will accomplish here!
