SPRING FIELD HOCKEY for youth and adults

Players will be grouped by ability from beginner through advanced, at the start of each session.
 
FUNdamental field hockey is a youth development program to expose children to the basic skills of field hockey while emphasizing fun physical activity. This program will be run by former MVU players, Emily Wright and Laura Chevalier Beer, who also coaches MVU Middle School and is a former college player.
 
Skills Clinics are for field players and goalies to nail the basics and build their individual skills and how to translate them into real time game play with your team. This program will be run by former D1 College players and Northern Vermont Field Hockey Club (www.nvtfhc.com) Coaches, Mel Hurlbut and Brooke Hoyt.
 
Recreational field hockey scrimmage for anyone who is interested in getting some physical activity. The game will be pick-up style and teams will be made each night. Players of all skill levels are welcome. It will be a 7v7 format, (including goalie). Two 25 minutes halves (running time).

WHERE:

Highgate Arena on the indoor turf. 243 Gore Road , Highgate, VT 05459

WHEN: Monday, April 5, we will run every week through May 12th.

FUN-damentals and Skills Session for youth: Monday’s or Wednesday’s 5:30-6:30pm

Scrimmage games for older youth and adults played every Monday and Wednesday 6:30-7:30pm (if you have a question about if your child should participate in the scrimmage, please reach out to Laura or Emily)
 
HOW MUCH/ registration options:
$50 per youth for Monday FUN-damentals/skills sessions (6 weeks)
$50 per youth for Wednesday FUN-damentals/skills sessions (6 weeks)

$50 per participant for Monday scrimmages for 6 weeks youth & adult
$50 per participant for Wednesday scrimmage for 6 weeks youth & adult

$25 per youth for Monday scrimmage's 6 weeks (with purchase of either day’s skills session, please use promo code YOUTHFH upon checkout to receive discount)
$25 per youth for Wednesday scrimmage's 6 weeks (with purchase of either day’s skills session, please use promo code YOUTHFH upon checkout to receive discount)

Players must have a face mask, mouth guard, shin guards, sneakers and a water bottle (goggles optional). Sticks available to borrow.

PLEASE NOTE:



DUE TO COVID RESTRICTIONS,  PARENTS ARE NOT ABLE TO WATCH IN PERSON. 
LiveBarn is available for spectators while waiting in the parking lot (or at home)

All players will go through the health screening process when they arrive. Players with any sickness symptoms will be allowed that day. 

Youth & Staff will be scanned for temperature upon arrival.  Any person registering a temperature of 100.4 or above will not be allowed in programming.

Youth & Staff are to wear masks at all times.

Parents & Guardians must wear masks at all times when on site, including drop off and pick up, again no spectators are allow in the facility for any reason.

Any family traveling to areas not deemed "green" by the State of Vermont may be subject to a 14 day quarantine which would prevent them from attending recreation programming for 14 days after returning home.

Expect changes - as guidelines change we will adjust our programming to reflect those changes.  We run our programs to adhere to VDH and CDC guidelines regarding COVID19.  We reserve the right to make changes up to and including canceling programming at any time.

If we do not have enough registrations to cover the cost of the rental at the arena this program will be canceled. Cancellation Fee is $3.00
