Fundamental Field Hockey is a youth development program to expose
children to the wonderful sport of field hockey. Basic skills will be
taught throughout the 6 week hourly sessions. Skills such as: Basic
Rules, Proper Grips & Posture, Ball & Stick Control, Tackling,
Receiving/Trapping, Passing, and Fun Skills.
The "CORE CONCEPTS" are the skills that will be taught during each session.
WHO: Open to Grades 1-6
WHERE: Swanton Recreation Field
WHEN: Every Monday and Wednesday beginning September 11th through October 18th
(12 one hour sessions) 5:00 PM- 6:00PM
REGISTRATION FEE: $35.00 includes a t-shirt
Registration cut off date is August 27, 2017
WHAT YOU WILL NEED: Mouth guard, shin guards, sneakers or cleats,water bottle.
Sticks and balls will be provided.
This program will be run by former MVU players, Emily Wright and Hannah Scott.
